Spillages of any chemicals will not harm the Dycem material if removed immediately.
The effects of longer exposure to chemicals are as follows:

Resistant to 1 Hour Exposure:
Acetaldehyde Acetic acid (10%) Acetic acid (glacial) Acid Fumes
Alcohols Ammonia Brine Caustic Soda
Caustic Soda (80%) Detergents Disinfectants Formaldhydes
Hibitane Hydrochloric Acid (conc) Hydrogen Peroxide (30%) Hypochlorites
Nitric Acid (50%) Oil (diesel) Oil (Mineral, Vegetable) Other Aldehydes
Petroleum Spirit Sulphuric Acid Uric Acid Water
Resistant to 24 Hour Exposure:
Acetaldehyde Acetic acid (10%) Acetic acid (glacial) Acid Fumes
Ammonia Brine Caustic Soda Disinfectants
Formaldhydes Hibitane Hydrogen Peroxide (30%) Nitric Acid (50%)
Sulphuric Acid Uric Acid Water

1 Hour Exposure:
Aromatic Solvents negligible solvation
Esters (aliphatic) negligible solvation
Ether Slight solvation
Ketones Slight solvation

24 Hour Exposure
Alcohols negligible plasticiser extraction
Aromatic Solvents slight solvation
Caustic Soda - 80% not resistant
Detergents slight extraction of plasticiser
Esters - aliphatic slight solvation
Ether solvation may occur
Hydrochloric acid - conc not resistant
Hypochlorites possibly some discolouration
Ketones solvation may occur
Oil - diesel slight embrittlement
Oil - mineral, vegetable slight embrittlement
Petroleum spirit slight embrittlement
